THE WINNERS OF THE “IZZET FILM AWARD” WILL BE ANNOUNCED
The establishment of the “Izzet Cinema Award” was announced in August last year. The winners of the “Izzet Cinema Award” will be announced soon. The official design of the award is now ready. Thus, the sketch, authored by artist-animator Sevinc Guliyeva, was created from the synthesis of the characters of Sevil and Almaz, played by Izzet Orujova. The poster combines both the rebellion and national identity of the Azerbaijani woman with the kelaghay, details of the national costume, open hair, etc. The image surrounded by film strips on the poster represents the female face of Azerbaijani cinema.
The award was founded by director and producer, international relations and projects manager of the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan Afag Yusifli. The project is one of the 10 winners of the 2nd wave of the Azad Mirzajanzade Development Program for 2025. The official partners of the project include the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan and the Association of Young Film Producers. According to the founder, the composition of the jury and the initial list are already ready. Currently, work is underway on the preparation process of the award and final organizational issues. The names of the judges and categories will be announced.
