WINNERS OF THE “AIAZ” INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL WERE AWARDED IN BAKU
The AIAZ International Short Film Festival was held at the Salaam Cinema in Baku. The AIAZ film festival is the first artificial intelligence-based film festival in the Caucasus and the region. The festival demonstrated the beginning of the era of artificial intelligence in cinema and the synthesis of art and technology over two days.
In addition to the film screenings, artificial intelligence specialist Umid Salay held a master class, the Jafjab startup, which brings artificial intelligence solutions to traditional cinema, was presented, and an award ceremony was held.
The best of the competition program was announced at the award ceremony. The winning projects not only effectively used the opportunities created by artificial intelligence, but also proved that they had high artistic value.
Ravan Muradov's KhatAI film was declared the winner in the Best Local Short Film Made with Artificial Intelligence nomination. Igor Kharlamov's Tek Yol film was awarded the Best International Short Film Made with Artificial Intelligence award. The festival team presented a special award to Aisha Hajiyeva's film "Motherland". Among the films touching on environmental issues, the "Ecological Impact Award" was given to Ruslan Ibrahimli's "Mirror: The Other Side of Humanity" in the local competition, and to Peter Vadoch's "Climate Crisis" in the international competition.
The festival's supporters include the "Eco hub" ecological platform and "Fors" LLC. The festival's founder is Murad Shukurlu, its director is Sahil Mammadov, its visual designer is Mirvugar Abdulov, its creative director is Maleyka Mammadova, and its media manager is Samad Aghayev.
