Akbar Alizadeh was born in Baku.

He studied Drama and Film Acting (1994-1998, Jannet Salimova's course) and Theater Studies (1998-2000, Master's degree) at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts.

From the age of 10, he was a soloist of the "Red Garland" ensemble of the Azerbaijan State Television for 7 years, and won the "Dawns of Dawn" television music competition with the song "Heydar Babaya Salam". He participated in performances at the Academic National Drama Theater, Bashir Theater, and "Planeta Parni iz Baku" Theater (since 2006). He performed the role of Shiruyya in the play "Farhad and Shirin" (Samad Vurgun) at the Academic National Drama Theater (1997). He performed as a presenter at the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic (2000-2006). Since 1995, he has been a presenter of state events and concerts. He was a presenter on Khazar TV, Space TV and ATV. He worked at the Baku Chamber Theater (1994-2000). Since 1994, he has been an actor at the Azerbaijan State Musical Theater.

He is an Honored Artist (2009).
