Aladdin Abbasov

Aladdin Abbasov was born in Ganja.

He studied at the Ganja Light Industry Technical School and the acting studio at the Ganja State Drama Theater.

During his two years of study, he worked in the theater's auxiliary staff and appeared on public stages in performances in the repertoire. He has been a member of the acting troupe since 1939 and his creativity has been connected only with this collective. He first appeared on stage at the age of 15 in the drama circle led by Mahammadrza Sheykhzamanov, playing the role of Haykaz in the play "In 1905" (Jafar Jabbarli). He has performed more than 300 roles on the theater stage.

He starred in the role of a city policeman in the film “Crime and Punishment” (1969, directed by Lev Kulitsanov / Russia) by foreign filmmakers, in the film “Center under the Dome of the Sky” (1975, directed by Isaac Magiton / Russia), and in the TV series “Operational Pseudonym – 2. Return Code” (2005, directed by Sergey Vinogradov / Russia).

Honored Artist (1958), People's Artist (1971), “Golden Dervish” (2003) laureate Aladdin Abbasov died in 2014 and was buried in the Alley of Honor in Ganja.
