Ali Jafarov

Ali Jafarov was born in Baku, originally from Gubadli.
He studied at the Railway Technical School (1991-1993), the Law Faculty of Odlar Yurdu University (1996-2000) and the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (2004-2008).
He worked in banking for a while (1999-2009). He has been involved in sports since 1980 (football, karate). He is one of the first professional athletes in the country in karate and jiu-jitsu. Since 2007, he has been the vice-president of the Azerbaijan Jiu-Jitsu Federation. He has the 6th title in jiu-jitsu and the 4th in karate. He has coached the Azerbaijani national team. He is an Honored Coach (2015), an international master of sports. Since 2013, he has been the director of the “Samurai” Fighting Club and Jiu-Jitsu Center. Since 2014, he has been the Azerbaijani representative of the World Jiu-Jitsu Federation.
He has been working in the film industry as a fight scene director, second director, producer, and actor since 2006. He has participated in commercial and music video filming as a member of the creative team.
