Almaz Mahmud

Almaz Mahmud (Almaz Nasibova) was born in Baku.

She studied at the Faculty of Journalism of Baku State University and has a PhD in Philology.

She is the author of more than 10 scientific articles. She is a graduate of the IVLP International Program of the USA. She is a participant in a number of international projects related to journalism and has been awarded various certificates. She worked at Radio Azadlig, in projects of the “Internews” PU broadcast on BBC and ITV, and was the editor of the analytical program “Xatt” on Space TV. She is the head of the Center for Media and Information Literacy. She is the author of the book “Media Literacy for Journalists” and the channel of the same name.

She is the editor of the socio-political editorial office of Azerbaijan Television, and the vice-rector of the Teleradio Academy.
