Amil Amal

Amil Amal (Amil Mamiyev / Amil Mamibayli) was born in Lachin.

He studied at the Directing Faculty of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts (2007-2012), and the 2-year higher course at the Faculty of Film Directing and Film Dramaturgy of the All-Russian State University of Cinematography (2013, Rodimin Denis, Vladimir Fenchenko's workshop).

He worked as a director at ANS television (2015-2016), a methodologist at the Lachin District Department of Culture and Tourism (2016-2019), a videographer and photographer at “United Nations in Azerbaijan” (2019-2021), and a director at Space television (2022-2023). He is currently the director of the “Hochazfilm” Creative Studio operating in Lachin. A book of poems entitled “Eve gandane sevgi al” was published (2019). His films have been awarded awards at various international festivals.
