Anar Naghilbaz (Anar Jabiyev) was born in the Khirdalan village of the Absheron region.

He studied at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts.

For some time, he was a correspondent for the magazine "Kirpi" (1990-1992), the newspaper "Nakhchivan" (1993-1995), an employee of Public Television (2005), and the deputy director of the Palace of Culture named after Gurban Abbasov in the Garachukhur settlement (2012).

He is considered the first rap performer in Azerbaijan. He began to show interest in rap in 1988. In 1990, he rapped for the first time in the Artek camp in Crimea. In 1990, he performed the rap "Bivafa" at the "International Festival of Young Journalists" in Horadiz. In the same year, he represented Azerbaijan at the international festival held in Yalta. In 1991, he created the "Aysel" miniature theater studio. He gained fame with the song "Narkodünya" in 1993. He appeared on the big stage in 1993 with the accompaniment of the "Live Clip" theater. His first album was released in 1996. He has 10 studio albums in total.

In 2015, he lived in Prague, Czech Republic for a while.

Anar Naghilbaz died in 2018 and was buried in the Masazir cemetery.
