Anvar Valiyev was born in Baku.

He studied at the Drama and Cinema Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Theater Institute (1968-1973).

Since 1973, he has been engaged in pedagogical activities at the institute. He was an associate professor of the Department of Stage Speech at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art. He was also known as a master of artistic recitation.

Honored teacher Anvar Valiyev passed away in 2023.
