Arzu Maharramov

Arzu Maharramov was born in the village of Sugovushan, Sabirabad region.
He studied at the Faculty of Cultural Education of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art as a director of the Ozfaaliyyat theater collective (1989-1994).
He began his career in 1995. He first worked as an assistant director in the “Morning” program on Azerbaijani television, then as a director. Since 2005, he has continued his work in the television’s Information Programs Studio. Since 2013, he has been the chief director of this studio. He devoted most of his years working on television to covering socio-political and state-important events. He was a director (2008-2013) and production director (2018) in the filming of parades of the Azerbaijani army held in the center of Baku.
He was awarded the “Progress” medal (2016).
