Aslan Gahramanov (Aslan Gahramanli) was born in Yenigun village of Agstafa region.
He studied at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Azerbaijan State University.
He began his career at the Computing Center of the Academy of Sciences (1961). After the Institute of Cybernetics was established on the basis of that center, he was engaged in scientific research there in various positions (1965-1972). He worked as the head of the laboratory in the special design bureau of the IttifaqNeftMash Union (1972-1975), senior lecturer at the Department of Applied Mathematics of the Azerbaijan Oil and Chemistry Institute (1975-1977), senior lecturer at the Baku branch of the Rostov Institute of Railway Engineers, senior lecturer, associate professor at the Department of Applied Mathematics of the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy (1980-2007), associate professor (2007-2011) and rector (2011-2012). He is the author of scientific works, co-author of a textbook on modeling in economics and textbooks on taxes. He worked as the editor-in-chief of the monthly scientific journal “Tax News of Azerbaijan” of the Ministry of Taxes (2003-2010).
He tried himself as a writer with his first story “Song of the Mountains” published in the almanac “Young Pens” published by the Ganjlik Publishing House in 1967. Since then, he has been regularly appearing in periodicals. In the competition for the best television plays held by Azerbaijan Television in 1986 under the motto “Our Contemporaries”, his play “Heart” was awarded the 2nd prize. 13 fairy tales-plays he wrote for the radio were broadcast on Azerbaijan Radio.
Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Aslan Gahramanov died in 2014 and was buried in Agstafa.
