Aygun Kazimova

Aygun Kazimova was born in Baku.
While studying in high school, she was the goalkeeper and captain of the national handball team. She took her first step on the big stage by participating in the “Baku Payizi” competition in 1988. She was awarded 1st place with the song “Yarım ishsin meni”. Before the competition, she worked as a soloist in the “Ozan” group and Vagif Gerayzadeh’s “Aypara” group. She continues her collaboration with composers such as Javanshir Guliyev and Eldar Mansurov. She gave her first solo concert in Ganja in 1996. She represented Azerbaijan at the “Türkvizyon” song competition held in Turkey (1996). She was the host of the “Aygun bu gun” program (Sara TV, 1999).
