Bahram Aliyev was born in Neftchala.
He studied at the Azerbaijan State Conservatory (1979).
For a long time he worked at the Azerbaijan State Musical Comedy Theater, the Opera Studio named after Shovkat Mammadova, and the State Choir Chapel. Since 1993 he has worked at the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. He is a soloist vocalist with a tenor voice.
