Chimnaz Aghakishiyeva was born in Baku.
She studied at the faculties of Theater Studies and Organization of Theater and Concert Work at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art.
She worked as a senior editor at Azerbaijan Television (1994-2005) and Public Television (2005-2023). She was the author, editor and project manager of numerous films and programs.
Since 2024, she has been working as an editor at Trend News Agency.
Screenwriter Chimnaz Aghakishiyeva is the wife of director Ramin Naziyev.
