Alakbar Hasanzadeh was born in Baku.
He studied at the Leningrad Institute of Cinematographers in the Sound Engineering specialty (1963).
Since 1963, he has been working at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio. At the suggestion of the Russian Cinematography Committee, he worked as a sound director at “Lenfilm” for a long time (1975-2007). He was a high-level sound director at the “Lennauchfilm” film studio.
He was a professor at the Sound Direction Department of the St. Petersburg State Institute of Cinema and Television (2007-2019).
He is the first Azerbaijani film master to receive the Russian “Nika” film award (2000).
A laureate of the Russian State Prize, Honored Artist of Russia, Alakbar Hasanzadeh died in Russia in 2019 and was buried in Baku.
Sound director Alakbar Hasanzadeh is the son of actor Aliheydar Hasanzadeh and actress Rukhsara Aghayeva.
Sound director Alakbar Hasanzadeh is the father of sound director Tariyel Hasanzadeh.
