Eyvaz Borchali

Eyvaz Borchali (Eyvaz Eyvazov / Ayvaz Ayvazov) was born in the village of Agammadli, Borchali (Marneuli) region of Georgia.
He entered the Mirza Fatali Akhundov Institute of Russian Language and Literature, and was transferred to the Literary Translation Department of the Maxim Gorky Institute of Literature in Moscow under the guarantee of the Union of Azerbaijani Writers.
He began his career as an editor at "Azernashr" (1964). He worked as a member of the script editorial board at the "Azerbaijanfilm" film studio (1970), editor-in-chief of the satirical film magazine "Mozalan" (1971-1984), director of the "Azerbaijanfilm" film studio (1984-1986), editor-in-chief of the "Kirpi" magazine (1986-1993). He was the founder and chairman of the Borchali Public Society (1993-2006), one of the founders of the Civil Solidarity Party and one of the first members of the Supreme Council of the VHP.
He began his literary work in 1960 with the poem "Eternal Torch" published in the newspaper "Literature and Art". He has published numerous books. "Mozalan" plots and documentary films have been shot based on his scripts. His scientific activity is reflected in more than 400 artistic, scientific and journalistic materials. He has a large number of translations.
He was awarded the "Taraggi" medal (2005). He is an Honored Artist (1981).
