Fuzuli Mammadov

Fuzuli Mammadov was born in the village of Mugan Ganjali in the Sabirabad region.
He studied at the Faculty of Drama and Film Acting of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1968-1973), and at the Faculty of Theater Economics and Organization of Work of the Moscow All-Union Advanced Institute (1984-1986).
He worked as an actor at the Lankaran State Drama Theater (1973-1982), deputy director, director (1982-1984), executive director of the “Gaya” ensemble (1986-1988), deputy director of the Young Spectators Theater (1988-2006), and director of the State Pantomime Theater (2006-2009).
He taught at the Baku Oxford School (1999-2009).
He played the role of Colonel Nuriyev in the foreign film "A Trip to Karabakh" (2005, directed by Levan Tutberidze / Georgia), and Nuriyev in the film "Conflict Zone" (2009, directed by Vano Burduli / Georgia).
Fuzuli Mammadov died in 2009.
