Gulnara Abdullayeva was born in Baku.

She studied at the Musical Theater Actor's Faculty of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (1996).

While still a student, she played the role of Mehri in the play "I Want to Get Married" (R. Icherisheherli) at the Azerbaijan State Variety Theater, and the main character in the play "Cylinder" (E. Filippo). She worked as an actress-vocalist at the Shusha State Musical Drama Theater (2000-2008). Since 2013, she has been working as a vocal artist-soloist at the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater.
