Hasan Jabrayilov (Hasan Ahangi) was born in Tehran, originally from Ardabil. In 1953, he moved to Baku with his family.
He studied at the Baku Telecommunications Technical School (1964-1968), the Azerbaijan State Polytechnic Institute, and the faculty of variety directors at the Moscow Theater Institute.
He worked as an electromechanic at the Baku Electric Machine-Building Plant and at Azerbaijan Television (1977-1994). From 1994 until the end of his life, he worked in the video library of Azerbaijan Television. Since the 1970s, he has worked as a singer, parodist, and conference host in the artistic amateur ensemble of the plant where he worked, performing popular songs and hymns of the Eastern peoples. Since then, he has presented his unique parody skills to a wide audience. He was the first to fundamentally introduce the art of parody in Azerbaijan. He first appeared on the big stage in Moscow in 1980. He managed to parody more than 300 actors and singers in about 100 languages. From 1980 to 2005, he was the winner of various competitions, including the Moscow "International Student Spring-80", Yerevan "Student Spring-81", Kutaisi All-Union, Baku Pop Artists, the humor competition held in Gabrovo, Bulgaria, Tehran "I World Humor" and Istanbul festivals. He is the author of two books about Tofig, Ahmed and Abbasgulu agha Bakikhanovs, a collection of parodies "A Little Flower", a total of 5 books, more than 300 articles, and poems of various genres.
Hasan Jabrayilov, laureate of the "Progress" medal (2016), died in 2019.
