Hijran Nasirova (Hijran Gashamova) was born in Baku.
She studied at the Drama and Film Acting Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1979).
She began working at the Teaching Theater by appointment. In 1981, she performed the role of Leyla in the psychological drama “Desert Dreams” (Anar) at the Academic National Drama Theater, directed by Vagif Ibrahimoglu. Since 1986, she has been a member of the acting troupe of the Academic National Drama Theater.
She starred in the role of the barber's wife in the film “Absurdistan” (2008, directed by Veit Helmer) by German film producers.
She is an Honored Artist (2000).
