Huseyn Abbaszadeh was born in Baku.

After completing his secondary education, he fought on the North Caucasus, Leningrad, 1st and 4th Ukrainian fronts (1941-1945).

He studied at the Theater Studies Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Theater Institute (1945-1950).

He worked as a department head, executive secretary in the "Pioner" magazine, executive secretary in the "Göyärçin" magazine (1958-1964), editor-in-chief (1964-1966, 1972-1975), editor-in-chief in the "Literature and Art" newspaper (1966-1971), and secretary of the Writers' Union (1975-1991). The books "General" (1962), "In the Lap" (1965), "They Didn't Recognize Him" ​​(1967), "The Door is Knocking", "Whirlwinds" (1979), "The Ballad of Chambarakand" (1982), "Look at the World and How People Have Gone" (2000), "One of the Returnees" (2003) have been published. He was awarded the "Shohrat" Order (1997).

Laureate of the State Prize (1984), Honored Artist (1979), People's Writer (1991) Huseyn Abbaszadeh died in 2007.
