Jahangir Shahmuradov was born in Baku.
He studied at the Azerbaijan State Institute of Physical Education and the Directing Faculty of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (1977).
He worked as an instructor-trainer at the Central Karate School in Baku. He is the USSR champion in the 50 kg category in karate. He is the first master of sports of the USSR in karate. He has a black belt.
For some time he was an employee of the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio.
He currently lives in Russia.
