Javid Imamverdiyev was born in Baku.

He studied at the Faculty of Philology of Baku State University (1994), and at the director's course at the Public Television of Russia (1994).

He worked as the chief administrator at the “Parni iz Baku” TV Company (1991-1996), executive producer at the Russian “Oyun” TV Company (1993-1995), and was the director of the “Yaddash” documentary film studio (2007-2020). He was the champion of the TV Company (1992), the owner of the Champions Cup (1995), and was awarded the title of Champion of the 20th Century (2000). He was the director of many local and international mass cultural events. He staged performances on the stage of the Azerbaijan State Academic Russian Drama Theater. He is the president of the Author's Song Club (since 1996), the founder and head of the Ratio TV Producer Center (since 1998).

He is currently the chief director of the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater (since 2020).

He was awarded the "Humay" national award (2012) and the "Teraqqi" medal (2016).
