Marat Isgandarov was born in Baku.
He studied at the Leningrad Institute of Cinema Engineers (1966).
He began his career as a lighting engineer at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio. He worked as an engineer, head of the sound equipment shop (1967), chief engineer (1969), sound director (1974-1994), sound director at the “Salname” documentary film studio (1994-1999), chief engineer at the Azerbaijan State Film Fund (1999-2007), and chief consultant (2007-2011).
Honored Worker of Culture (2005) Marat Isgandarov died in 2013.
