Mehriban Efendi (Mehriban Efendiyeva / Mehriban Efendizadeh / Mehriban Sadigbeyli) was born in Baku.

She studied at the Azim Azimzadeh Art School (1984-1988), the Soyuzmultfilm animation school in Moscow (1989-1991), and the US Training Center (1999-2002).

For a while, she worked as the head of the filming preparation department at the Azerbaijanfilm film studio. Her works have been exhibited in galleries in Azerbaijan and abroad. She was awarded first place in the international Radiance-2010 competition held in Bulgaria.

She was a costume designer for the German-made film Absurdistan (2008, directed by Veit Helmer). For this film, he was awarded the "Best Costume Designer" award at the "Festival International Cinema & Costume Moulins" festival (Paris / France) (2010), the Award of the International Skopje Macedonia Film Festival and the Lola Award of the German Film Academy.

He is an Honored Artist (2016).
