Mirza Aliyev was born in Sabirabad.
He studied at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts.
Since 1986, he has worked at the Azerbaijan State Television and Radio Company. For a while, he worked in the 26th Baku Commissar District Komsomol Committee of Baku City (1988-1990). Currently, he is the head of the production department at Azerbaijan Television.
