Mirza Mustafayev (Mirzabey Mustafayev) was born in Baku.
He has been active in cinema since 1931. From the first days of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945), he filmed on the front lines, fought with the enemy, and repeatedly faced death. After the war, he continued his work in cinema as both a cameraman and a director of documentary films.
Mirza Mustafayev died in 1979.
