Mubariz Asgarov was born in the city of Ujar.

In 1986, he entered the Faculty of Journalism of Azerbaijan State University, and later was sent to the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University to continue his education (1986-1992).

He worked as a project manager on Azerbaijani television (1992-1998) and ANS TV (1998). He was the author of the satirical TV project "Gulp", the programs "Mubariza" and "Xalq şairi". He was the author and host of the program "Rezonans" on Khazar TV and ARB TV.

Since 2013, he has been the founder and head of "Gulp Studio". He is the chairman of the "Support for the Propagation of Objective National Values" Public Union.

In 2021, he was appointed a member of the National Television and Radio Council for a term of 6 years.

He is an Honored Journalist (2015).
