Munavvar Kalantarli

Munavvar Kalantarli was born in Lankaran. She came to Baku at the age of 17.

She began her stage career in 1933. She first worked at the Opera Theater, and later at the Musical Comedy Theater. In 1953, she was appointed deputy director of the "Vatan" cinema. After that, she left the theater and only acted in films.

Laureate of the USSR State Prize (1946), Honored Artist (1940) Munavvar Kalantarli died in 1963 and was buried in the Yasamal cemetery.
