Musa Baghirov was born in Baku.
He worked for many years in the “Azerbaijanfilm” and “Ekran” Creative Unions. He directed more than 50 documentary films. In 1994, he was appointed head of the Cinema and Television Department of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art. In 1997, the Television Director and Film Director and Cinematography Departments were established on the basis of that department. Professor Musa Bagirov headed the Television Director Department. He is also the author of the books “The Path of the General” (1988) and “The Fate of the Commander” (1999) on the research of General Hazi Aslanov.
