Niyamaddin Musayev

Niyameddin Musayev was born in Imishli.

He studied at the Faculty of Economics of the Azerbaijan State Institute of National Economy.

For some time he worked as a methodologist and art consultant at the District House of Culture. He has been on the professional stage since 1957. In 1966, for the first time, under the leadership of Ahmad Bakikhanov, several of his songs were recorded in the radio record library in the Folk Instruments Ensemble. In 1968, he became the winner of the “Mugham-68” festival. Since 1970, he has been working in the philharmonic society. Since 1978, he has been the artistic director of the “Röya” vocal-instrumental ensemble.

Honored Artist of Nakhchivan (1991), People's Artist (1998). He was awarded the “Shohrat” Order (2000).
