Novruz Jafarov

Novruz Jafarov (Novruz Jafarli / Novruz Konullu) was born in the village of Konullu, Shamkir.
He studied at the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts as a drama and film actor (1971-1975).
He was assigned to the Sheki State Drama Theater as an actor and worked there for a long time (1975-1997). Since 1997, he has been an actor at the Ganja State Drama Theater and the Ganja State Nizami Poetry Theater.
He has written more than 10 plays and his plays have been staged. The books "Comedies" and "Art Devotees" have been published. He also worked as a director in the theater.
He was the chief director of the Aghdam State Drama Theater (2017-2021). Since 2021, he has been working at the Ganja State Drama Theater again.
He is a laureate of the "Golden Dervish" award, Honored Artist (2013).
