Rahib Aliyev was born in Baku.
He studied at the Drama and Cinema Acting Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Theater Institute (1965-1969).
In 1967, while still a student, he was invited to the Azerbaijan State Theater for Young Spectators and has worked there continuously since 1968.
He was awarded the "Artist" medal (2015) and the "Progress" medal (2018) of the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan.
Honored Artist (2006) Rahib Aliyev died in 2024 and was buried in the Gurd Kapisi cemetery.
