Rahman Badalov was born in Baku.
He studied at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Azerbaijan Polytechnic Institute (1969).
In 1959-1968, he worked in various construction organizations. Since 1968, he has been engaged in pedagogical activities. At the same time, he studied at the postgraduate course of the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Academy of Sciences. He conducted research as a junior researcher and senior researcher. He was a professor at the BSIPI. Since the early 60s, he has been publishing articles in the press about general problems of culture, theater and cinema. Since 1986, he has been working as the secretary of the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan.
Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Rahman Badalov died in 2025.
