Rahman Rahmanov was born in Baku.
He studied at the Cultural and Educational Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1978-1983).
He entered the stage at the age of 14. In 1973, he was accepted into the auxiliary staff of the Academic National Drama Theater. Since 1974, he has been an actor of the Azerbaijan State Puppet Theater.
Laureate of the "Golden Dervish" award (2006), Honored Artist (2014).
