Ramiz Asgarov was born in Baku.
He studied at the Directing Department of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (1957-1965, Mikhail Romm's workshop).
In 1955, he began working as an assistant at a film studio. He directed and wrote the screenplay for the short film "Yurka" (1961, together with Antonis-Yanis Voyazos, Andrey Smirnov, Boris Yashin, VGIK / Russia).
Ramiz Asgarov died in 1967 during the filming of the film "I Wasn't Beautiful".
