Rasmi Jabrayilov (Ramzes Jabrayilov) was born in the Gasimkend district of Dagestan.
He studied acting (1955) and directing (1961) at the Russian University of Theater Arts (GITIS).
He was an actor at the Derbent Lezgi Musical Drama Theater (1955-1956), second director at the "Tajikfilm" studio (1961-1962), director at the Makhachkala Dagestan Russian Drama Theater (1962-1963), director at the Tulsky Drama Theater (1963-1964), and actor at the Taganka Theater (1964-1993). Since 2002, he has worked at the Moscow Academic Theater named after V. Mayakovsky.
Honored Artist of Russia (1987) Rasmi Jabrayilov died in Moscow in 2022 and was buried at the Troyekurov cemetery in Moscow.
