Rufat Asadov

Rufat Asadov was born in Nakhchivan.
He studied at the Leningrad Technological University, the Leningrad Academy of Arts, and the Film School under Lenfilm (Alexander Sokurov's course). He was a listener of the American producer Oleg Harrinjar's "Documentary Film Production" courses (1999).
He completed an internship at the Promatheus Production film studio in the USA (2000). For a while he worked at Lenfilm in various positions. After returning to Baku, he worked in the "Yeni Film" creative association and on Azerbaijani television (1994-1996).
He was the second director and actor of the film "Mrakovka" (1993, directed by V. Burbano / Ecuador) by foreign film producers, and the executive producer of the film "Pain" (2000, directed by Oleg Harrinjar / USA).
Have been awarded "Humay" and "Golden Lamp" National Film Awards and awards at international festivals.
