Rufat Mehdiyev was born in Baku.
He studied in the piano class of the Palace of Culture named after the 26th Baku Commissar (1976-1986), and at the Faculty of Geology and Geography of Azerbaijan State University (1986-1992).
He has been engaged in music since 1989, and has been a singer since 1992.
Rufat Mehdiyev died in 2011 as a result of a brain hemorrhage and was buried in the Nizami district cemetery.
