Salam Mammadaliyev was born in Baku.
He studied at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (1998-2002).
As a student, he played the role of the ram Asker in the play “O olmasin, bu olsun”, a priest and a young lawyer in “Kuraj ana”. He worked as an assistant director in the program “Talebe klubu” on Azerbaijan television (1998-2000), as an assistant director and director in the programs “Boomerang show” and “Jazz time” on Lider TV (2000-2002). Since 2005, he has been working as a director on Public Television. He has directed many musical and entertainment programs. He was the production director of the national selection round of the Eurovision Song Contest.
Director Salam Mammadaliyev is the son of tar player Vamig Mammadaliyev.
Director Salam Mammadaliyev is the brother of director and producer Igbal Mammadaliyev and lighting designer Gurban Mammadaliyev.
