Sayavush Aslan

Sayavush Aslan (Sayavush Aslanov / Siyavush Aslanov) was born in the Saray village of Baku.

He studied at the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts, specializing in musical comedy acting (1963-1969).

He began his acting career in drama circles (1947-1953), and his labor activity in the Azerbaijan State Variety Union (1957-1958). He was an actor of the Guba State Drama Theater (1958–1959), the Azerbaijan State Musical Comedy Theater (1959-1984), and the Azerbaijan Academic National Drama Theater (1984–1994). For a while he was appointed artistic director of the Azerbaijan State Musical Comedy Theater (1994-1996). In 1996, he returned to the Academic National Drama Theater and tied his fate with this art center until the end of his life.

He starred in the foreign film producers' "Four Seasons of the Year" (1976, directed by Haji Ahmer / Uzbekistan) and "Lurix on the Stage" (1983, directed by Valentin Kuyk / Estonia) as Mustafa's companion.

He was awarded the "Shohrat" (1995) and "Sharaf" (2013) orders. Honored Artist (1974), People's Artist (1982) Sayavush Aslan died in 2013 and was buried in the II Alley of Honor.

Actor Sayavush Aslan was the husband of actress Ofeliya Aslan.
