Shamistan Alizamanli

Shamistan Alizamanli was born in the village of Ashagi Gullar, Marneuli region of Georgia.
He studied at the Drama and Cinema Acting Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1985).
He worked as an actor at the Yerevan Azerbaijan State Drama Theater (1979-1981). When he started working as an announcer at the Azerbaijan State Radio, he was sent to Moscow for a professional development course and took lessons from Ilya Prudovsky (1986). In 1992, he began working on Azerbaijani television, singing texts for the Ministry of Defense. With the outbreak of the Karabakh war, he began performing military-patriotic songs. For the next 10 years, he worked at the Ministry of Defense and is a reserve officer. He starred in the Turkish-produced series “Diriliş Ertuğrul” (2014-2019, directed by Metin Günay).
He is a military announcer, performer of military patriotic songs, and chairman of the “Support for the Propagation of Patriotism” Public Union.
