Tahira Huseynova

Tahira Huseynova was born in Baku.

She studied at the Drama and Cinema Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1971-1976).

Since 1971, she has been employed at the Cinema Program Editorial Office of Azerbaijan Television. She is a director with the highest degree. During her years of work on television, she has been the author of many series of programs and films: “Retro” cinema hall, “Cyrtdan” cinema hall, “Kinoalmanakh”. She has directed films about prominent figures of culture and art. She was awarded the “Golden Fairy” award in the nomination “Best audiovisual work dedicated to the 120th anniversary of Azerbaijani cinema” for the film “History written on the big screen” (2018).
