Vafa Fatullayeva was born in Baku.
She studied at the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts in the Department of Theater Studies (1963-1968).
She first played the role of Mamili in the play “The Winter’s Tale” (William Shakespeare) when she was 8 years old. She has worked at the Drama Theater since 1970. During the heyday of her creativity, she fell seriously ill.
Honored Artist (1982), Laureate of the State Prize (1984) Vafa Fatullayeva died in 1987 at the age of 42 and was buried in the Yasamal cemetery.
Actress Vafa Fatullayeva is the daughter of artist Nusrat Fatullayev and actress Hokuma Gurbanova.
