Vafa Fatullayeva was born in Baku.

She studied at the Republican Art Gymnasium (2004-2012), the Chemical Engineering Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (2015-2019), the Directing Department of the Istanbul Film Academy (2019-2021), and the Production Department of the Debut Film Studio's FILMLAB program (2022).

She worked as a director on Azerbaijani television (2016-2019). In 2019-2021, she lived in Turkey and participated in various film and advertising projects.

Currently, she continues her film activities in Azerbaijan.
