Qarabağ FK: 30 seasons away (2023)
The film tells the story of the activities of the Karabakh Football Club. Although the team played all its games “on the road” after the city of Agdam, where it was founded, was occupied in 1993, it has become the most successful football club in Azerbaijan. The film reflects the beginning and formation of the club, the last games in its home stadium were held under the threat of enemy attack, as well as the impressions of the selfless coaches and players who did not leave the club during its activities, and the fans who followed their home team step by step.
The full-length documentary is also divided into 3 series. The project, whose production began in 2022, was ready at the end of 2023. The film was shot in various regions of Azerbaijan (Baku, Sumgayit, Gabala, Agdam, etc.), as well as in Italy, the Netherlands and Turkey. Research was conducted and an extensive video and photo archive was used. About 40 people were interviewed.
The film was shot with the support of the Cinema Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
