Valiahd Valiyev was born in Dashkesan.
He studied at the Acting Faculty of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (1975-1979).
He worked as an actor at the Ganja Theater since childhood. Since 1979, he has been acting in films at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio.
He lived the last 15 years of his life in New York City (USA). Valiyakht Valiyev died in the USA in 2015 and was buried there.
