Zarosh Hamzayeva was born in the village of Nehram, Babek district.
From an early age, she showed a tendency to recite poetry. She performed in the school drama club. She first appeared on stage in 1941, at the age of sixteen. She was attracted to the professional stage by her later husband, Ibrahim Hamzayev. As her first stage character, she played the role of Yeter in the comedy “Haji Gambar” (Najaf bey Vezirov “We left the rain, we fell into the rain”). She began working at the Nakhchivan Drama Theater in 1942.
Honored Artist of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (1944), Honored Artist (1956), People's Artist (1967), Honored Artist (2002) Zarosh Hamzayeva died in 2004 and was buried in the Second Alley of Honor.
