Zemfira Aliyeva was born in Ganja.
From an early age, she played child roles in the performances of the Ganja State Drama Theater. At the age of 17, she played the role of Sara in the play "Pale Flowers" (Jafar Jabbarli). After that, she was taken to the theater. She worked at the Nakhchivan State Musical Drama Theater (1972-1988), the Academic National Drama Theater (1988-1995).
