Zeynal Khalil (Zeynal Khalilov) was born in Ganja.
He studied at the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical Institute.
His first book of poems called "Desire" was published in 1936. He wrote poems praising the heroism of the soldiers during the Great Patriotic War. He is the author of books of poetry and the verse novel "Stars" (1961). He has written plays. His works have been translated into foreign languages. He was engaged in translating literary works into Azerbaijani.
Honored Artist (1960) Zeynal Khalil died in 1973.
